An epiphany.

I saw an interview with Credo Mutwa on the giants about a year ago. It was fascinating - he, more so.

Here's an online interview with Mutwa that captures some of what he said in that interview. (It holds interest - if you can look past the David Icke issue.)

All over Africa there is overwhelming evidence that once there were gigantic human beings who walked this planet, in the days of the dinosaur. There are footprints in granite, each one 6 foot long by 3 ½ wide, footprints of mature human beings, sir, which date back thousands of years, millions of years. Where did these giants go to? Who knows; the dinosaurs may have produced an intelligent race, a race which deceives us into thinking that it comes from the stars, when in fact it is part of this planet on which we live.

There is hope, and the hope is very bright. A Christ-child is being born in all of us, but like all deaths, the death of the Light-child (the death of the old-self prior to transformation into “Christness”) is going to be attended by great danger, as the enemy is going to be driven into desperation. The enemy will make mistakes and we will conquer him in God’s sacred name. That is what I believe, sir, and that is what I’m going to hold-on believing until my last breath.

Shit, they had all the awesome outfits… there was the classic mainstream stuff, like (my personal favourites) the Provisional IRA before they got all corporate and sold out, the original PLO – they had some awesome gigs, man (and their Black September spin-off was just fuckin’ radical) – and there were also all those very cool Spirit of ’68 Euro groups with all the hot chicks; like the Red Brigades, Revolutionary Organization 17 November, GRAPO, Action Directe and the incomparable Baader-Meinhof Gang/ Red Army Faction. And the Yanks even got caught up in it, I mean some of the best stuff of the era was done by the Symbionese Liberation Army (and they all got to bang Patti Hearst) and the US also produced the Dylan-inspired Weathermen and the United Freedom Front. But the best stuff always had that Latin American influence and the South Americans really did do it best: Ejército de Liberación Nacional, Manuel Rodríguez Patriotic Front, Montoneros, Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, Shining Path, Túpac Amaru Revolutionary Movement. I mean, Che was like the Jimi Hendrix who ushered in a new era and inspired some of the latter greats. And Ilich Ramirez Sanchez was one of the superstars, man, crossing all the above genres…. And his lifestyle: Cocaine, mortar attacks, booze, bombings, kidnappings, groupies, assassinations, sex parties… fuck, man, he even had a sex act named after him: the Dirty Sanchez. Aside from Senator Santorum, how many people can claim that?

Yeah, man, and he’s still unrepentant. Engaged to his bourgeois lawyer, he’s producing manifestos defending violence in the class struggle and encouraging the new guys. But I just can’t get into the whole Islamic Terror thing; maybe I’m getting too old… I know it’s bigger and more successful than the leftist stuff ever was, and guys like Ozzie B and al Zarqawi are the fuckin’ Eminem and 50 Cent of the day… but it’s got no soul, man. I just can’t relate to that shit. I mean I still dig it and I can appreciate where they’re coming from, but it doesn’t move me like that other stuff woulda.

Quickly, before any more misunderstanding...

The wriggler wasn't Psychochop, it was your brother.

Secondly, and BW this is critical... NO SHOTS WERE FIRED. Jeez! haven't you got it yet? Play? It's not play... it's the KILL ZONE! What the hell else d'you think? Watch that paranoia, bro.

It saddens me that you don't seem to pay much attention to the KILL ZONE stuff, seeing as you're the only participant really active in it; much as I enjoyed the eloquence of this reply. I mean that 'double tap' thingy: apart from being a touch pedantic (don't you think) there was never mention of 2 shots to the head - another of your assumptions.

As for the original weed post, well, I'll defend that to my death. No, really... while I am convinced of its argument - every toke being a personal affront TO ME - the same interconnectivity you spoke of makes a mockery of judgement, making me the architect of my own fate.

And no need to explain your subtleties of character; I take each in the moment I face it. It's only action that speaks in the KILL ZONE...

*Jack shuffles right and left beckoning...* So c'mon, DS, BW, Psychochop... bring it!
